Elaine uses stainless steel and anodized aluminum chain mail as materials from which she designs. She then combines the chain mail with castings from nature in gold-plated brass or various pearls or gemstones to create jewelry, accessories, purses, and wearable pieces. She is fascinated by the way the mesh flows over the body and how each person wears the article differently.
It is as if the human body is her stage and the performance takes place when the article is worn.
