As a photojournalist in NYC for the NY Times, magazines and television stations, I spent many years recording life there. After moving to Ojai, I took daily photographs of my gardens, developing a series of foliage, fruit and flowers. I experimented with Polaroid emulsion and negative transfers and loved the painterly way it transformed each print. My b/w photographs became sepia studies of the western landscape, while travels to Mexico added color to my studio.
