Ojai Artist Barbara Greene paints rich watercolor landscapes and figures. Her work, though inspired by nature, evolves toward the abstract to invoke the viewer's imagination. Termed as lyrical, it captures light, color and emotion. As one of her many collectors remarked, "It's work you never get tired of." The artist studied at the Art Students League and Pratt Institute in New York, with further study under Hal Reid, Al Brouillette, Catherine Chang Liu and Alex Powers. She participates in the annual Ojai Studio Artists Tour, is active with the California Gold Coast Watercolor Society, and supports local environmental issues.
