Alice was born in 1939 and has painted most of her life. She has two paintings in the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery of the Smithsonian Institution, one of Beatrice Wood at 100, and one of Betty Friedan. Her portrait of Chelsea Clinton hung in the White House during the Clinton administration. Alice and her husband, Richard, co-authored an art/inspirational book published by Sentient Publications entitled, Art of Aging, Celebrating the Authentic Aging Self..
